About:

Robert Bennett is a cartoonist, storyboard artist, and animator living in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. He has assembled two short films: Mike's World and Autumn Wind and is currently preparing a book of comic strips for publication relating to his experiences in France and Belgium. Robert has a passion for filmmaking. His hobbies include writing screenplays and illustrating cartoons. He currently works as a storyboard artist.


Contracts:

Robert has done storyboard work on short films such as Last Flight of the Firefly directed by Ashley Lynch (2012), Jake & Jasper directed by Alison Parker (2011), Joanna Makes A Friend directed by Jeremy Lutter (2011), and Brain Juice directed by David Beleznay and Alison Parker (2011).

In addition, Robert assisted on storyboards for Episode 18 of Flash Gordon (2007) and did the storyboards for the award winning short film Grave Consequences directed by Tiffany Munro (2006).

Other contracts have included the unproduced short film Endless Desires directed by Barry May (2009), the music video What Love Can See directed by Shirley Chen of Pure Studios (2005), and a proposed pilot episode for the animated series Canadian Spy directed by Trevor Bess (2005).


Education:

Robert holds a Bachelor Degree in Animation from the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design in Vancouver, BC (2002-2005). He has also studied Digital Animation at Capilano College in North Vancouver (2006-2007). And has a degree from the Visual Communications & Design program through Grant MacEwan Community College in Edmonton, Alberta (1998-2000).
